WELCOME TO BAKED ACADEMY

The Baked Academy was established to offer unique baking courses at affordable prices, addressing the needs of students and their financial situation in South Africa.

Creating a successful career path which will lead to immediate employment or income in the shortest period, without compromising the quality of education and skills was foremost in our mind when we designed our courses.

Earning an income immediately is a priority many South African’s confront due to the high levels of unemployment and poverty. Thus, our courses vary from a 2-week course to a 12-month course depending on the time and resources. The positive financial impact for the student and their family is immeasurable by completing our courses.

Our qualified lecturers are highly experienced and passionate about creating chefs who want to open their own business, be self-employed or be employed at the best patisseries and bakeries.

Baked Academy focuses exclusively on patisserie and selected baking courses. Our mission is to create the best patisserie chefs and bakers who have the knowledge and skill to be the finest in their craft. We have designed our courses to have the perfect balance of theoretical aspect of patisserie and baking with emphasis on practical and industry-specific training in our unique commercial bakery.

WORLD TRAINING FACILITIES AND EDUCATION PAR EXCELLENCE.

Our campus is specifically designed to offer a world class culinary training environment. We only teach 6 to 9 students per course, thus ensuring students have the best personal training and guidance from our chefs. Our patisserie course is an international diploma and accredited by CTH. Students can further their education and be employed anywhere in the world with this diploma. 

Our Training kitchen is divided into two areas. A kitchen for training on domestic appliances… allowing students to gain their confidence and perfecting their craft before moving to our commercial bakery area.

It is essential for an aspiring chef to understand how to use commercial equipment before being exposed to the industry. Therefore, we have designed an inhouse commercial bakery ensuring students have the best experience in baking items in bulk quantities and the usage of commercial equipment.
